The Universe as it appeared in the Millennium Simulation Project in 2005

By the Heaven that is Woven

The Heaven [Samaa’] was woven like woven sand, like woven armor, like woven water when disturbed by wind, fabricated in layers; this is what the books of Tafseer describe [51:7] By the heaven containing pathways , the word (hubuk) in { وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ } means woven, a more accurate translation than the term “pathways”.

This subject is very big, actually it is awesome, the reason is that what you see in the above image cannot be seen by the naked eye nor by telescopes because it is so vast, 2.4 billion light years wide (22,721,472,000,000,000,000,000,000 KM); what you see is the outcome of the Millennium Simulation Project where scientists utilized super computers to simulate the structure of the universe using the location of known galaxies as a guideline. Amazingly, the outcome fits exactly the descriptions conveyed by prophet Mohammad PBUH explaining { وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ } in the Tafseer books which include The Heaven [Samaa’] “was woven like woven sand, like woven armor, like woven water when disturbed by wind, fabricated in layers”, also “woven with stars” and like “sheep wool

Left to right, simulation result, woven water when disturbed by wind, woven shield and woven sand, amazingly similar!

The below simulation with take you through the “Hubuk”; the woven heaven [Samaa’] or the universe, keep in mind that every dot you see is a galaxy that contains hundreds of billion stars. We say “Allaho Akbar” which literally means “Allah is Bigger” before and during every prayer; Allah is bigger that all of this.

[51:8] Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth).

You might ask where is earth? Where are we from all of this? Well, we are too small to be noticed, but this animation (not simulation) might help!

  1. this website contains very impressive information and eye opening for muslim and non-muslim.. it needs global promotion. however, we are linking it with our web for extending its reach. We can provide seo services ranging one million viewership addition in 2 months. Allah bless you.

  2. SubhanAllah (praise and glory be to Allah. What is also interesting is that the current theory of modern physics (String theory) seems to relate to the textile nature of our existing universe.
In fact, an interesting link is Chapter 21 (Surah Al-Anbiyā’) verse 30, refers to how “the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We [Allah] separated them and made from water every living thing”. In this verse, the choice of the word for ‘separation’ in Arabic is ‘fataqnā’ which is usually referred to the rupture of clothes. Again, here Allah, the True Creator of this universe and all living things, would show us these verses as signs and proofs, especially as science progresses.
Very interestingly, seven verses later (Quran 21: 37) Allah says: “Man was created of haste. I will show you My signs, so do not impatiently urge Me.”

  3. You mention “Tafseers” in this article describing the maning of Hubuk. However, it might be helpful to mention which tafseers. Who wrote them, and when?

    1. Thank you Mike for the important note, we Always add a hyperlink to the verse, but it is noteworthy to mention that it is mentioned in the following books of Tafseer:
      Tabari 310 Hijri = 922 AD
      Zamakhshari 538 Hijri = 1143 AD
      Qurtubi 671 = 1272 AD

It is incredible that 1400 years ago, nobody had an idea about “simulation” and the “bigger picture” except the Creator!
